Effi cient and cost effective
access to your markets and
supply chains
Ontario East serves Canada’s three largest
markets in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto as well as those in Eastern Canada and North Eastern USA with
50 million people within 500 miles. There is overnight surface delivery to 62% of Canadians. More than half of
North America’s industrial markets can be reached within a day’s truck run.
Ontario East has 380 miles of four and six-lane, limited access freeways, including Highway 401, the backbone
of the Québec City to Windsor/Detroit Corridor. Our three, under-utilized USA bridge crossings include
the Lansdowne/Alexandria (Thousand
Islands Bridge), connecting to Interstate
81. In the NAFTA Rail corridor, there are
two class 1 rail lines through CN and the
Canadian Pacific Railway and many short-
line railroads.
Ontario East is strategically located
between Eastern Canada’s two largest
inland ports in Toronto and Montréal.
International cargo airports are in or
adjacent to our region.
Tim Hortons is building a new
$45 million 130,000-sq. ft. facility
to serve 650 restaurants in eastern
Ontario and Quebec, triple the size
of the existing facility.
