The PROFINET Cabling and

Interconnection Technology

Guideline issued by PNO forms the

basis for standardized connectors

and cables for PROFINET. In the

guideline, PNO augments its data

cabling with the 24 V supply

needed to operate things like

switches. The HARTING PushPull

concept for data and 24 V meets

PROFINET requirements.

AIDA, the Automation Initiative of

German Automotive Manufactur-

ers, strives to supply all PROFINET

devices with a standardized con-

nector. Corresponding power bus

systems can then be implemented

as a result. This formed the basis

for the specification of the Han®

PushPull L Power 4/0 for supplying

PROFINET devices with 24 V. It

gives end users the opportunity to

save money as it requires less ca-

bling. The specification also facili-

tates the selection of devices for the

implementation of an automation

field in accordance with the PROFI-

NET standard.

The HARTING PushPull concept for

data and 24 V offers connection solu-

tions for automation power cores and

meets the automotive industry’s

PROFINET requirements.
